My Journey
My path into dental hygiene and wellness advocacy wasn’t a straight line — and honestly, I’m grateful for that.
Before entering the dental field, I spent years working in high-volume retail management, where I developed a strong work ethic, leadership skills, and a passion for connecting with people. While I learned a great deal during that chapter of my life, I eventually felt called toward something more meaningful and health-focused.
When my boys were little, I made the decision to step away from my career and become a stay-at-home mom. Those years shaped me in ways I never expected and deepened my appreciation for health, family, balance, and caring for others.
As my children grew, I returned to the workforce as a dental assistant — and quickly discovered a passion for dentistry, patient education, and preventive care. I became fascinated by the connection between oral health and whole-body wellness and knew I wanted to continue growing within the profession.
That journey led me back to college, where I earned my first Associate of Science degree in Natural Sciences, followed by a second Associate of Science degree in Dental Hygiene. Returning to school as a mother and non-traditional student came with challenges, sacrifices, and long nights, but it also reaffirmed how deeply passionate I was about helping others improve their health and quality of life.
One of the greatest honors of my educational journey was being selected to receive the Colgate STAR Award (Student Total Achievement Recognition Award). This award recognizes graduating dental hygiene students who demonstrate excellence in academics, compassion in patient care, dedication to community service, and a strong commitment to the dental hygiene profession. Being nominated by faculty for this recognition was incredibly meaningful and remains one of the proudest moments of my career.
Today, my mission continues to evolve beyond the clinical setting. Through education, blogging, advocacy, wellness content, and professional outreach, I hope to help people better understand that oral health is not separate from overall health — it is deeply connected to it.
I believe small daily habits matter. I believe prevention matters. I believe education empowers people to take ownership of their health.
And most of all, I believe healthy smiles can truly help change lives.
Passion
From Care to Wellness
What began as a passion for patient care evolved into a deeper mission to educate and advocate for total-body wellness through oral health. Over the years, I’ve come to believe that dentistry is about far more than clean teeth — it’s about reducing inflammation, supporting immune health, improving confidence, and helping people live healthier lives.
Through this platform, I combine clinical knowledge with practical everyday wellness habits to help make healthy living feel simple, approachable, and sustainable. Because true wellness starts with the small things we do consistently every day.


Daily Inspirations
Wellness doesn’t have to be overwhelming to be effective. Sometimes the most powerful changes come from the small habits we practice consistently — a nourishing meal, a better bedtime routine, a walk outside, a healthier smile routine, or simply taking a moment to care for yourself.
My goal is to share simple daily inspiration, practical wellness ideas, and realistic healthy habits that help support both oral health and whole-body wellness. Because feeling better, living healthier, and smiling more confidently starts one small step at a time.
